This wasn't really a request. I offered to design this for a girl when she said my stuff was looking at my work for inspiration for her prom look. I did a face chart for the full face of this look, but I didn't have time to do full face makeup when I did this. The rest of the makeup is pretty simplistic though.She said her dress was white with heavy streaks of rainbow color on the bottom half. I asked her if she had any specifications, but she gave me full creative liberties (I'm not sure if that was a good or a bad thing lol). I myself am a fan of purple with white, so I did a purple smokey eye on top with a hint of rainbow on the bottom. I tried not to get too overboard like I tend to since this is supposed to be for a prom. I think I managed to make it bold while still keeping it elegant enough for a prom.
As always C&C is greatly appreciated.
p.s. I'm sorry this is a little blurry. I found a flash setting on my camera that shows the true colors well, but it made the images a little blurry. I'll take pictures with both flash setting next time to see which one is better.

What kind of eye makeup do you use?

I use just about everything I can get my hands on right now. I really don't even know how many brands of makeup I have anymore lol. On this look I used mostly Ben Nye, but there are touches of other things like Rimmel, Loreal, Bon Bell, and Kryolan.

You don't need prom as an excuse to wear fun makeup lol. I'm 25, so proms are all over for me lol. I wore that out to bowling ^_^

hmm.. thats right.. sweet, im gonna wear it on my next bday.. just need to find someone who can do that.. cause id color my eyeball, if i were to do it myself... *grin*...
well, bowling shoes are colorful, so it fit perfectly!! *hehe*

You could use my Basic Eyeshadow tutorial, and just work from white to dark purple rather than the flesh tones it uses. I would love to write up a detailed tutorial for it, but unfortunately things are a little crazy for me at work right now :/

Thanx a bunch ^_^, Just lots of practice. I'm completely self taught, but I've also been doing makeup for over ten years. Four of those years I did theater makeup. So yeah, I do have a bit of experience XD.

heh, I consider it a lot lol. For the time being though I'm saving up some money teaching english in Japan. I've been thinking about working on getting a makeup artistry degree when I return home.
