I think the content boxes looks fine though, this layout would make a nice portfolio.

theres a funny story to that, see I accidentaly made the canvas in grey tone...then forgot how to switch to rgb half way done....

I think it looks good, but you need to take away from the monotony, maybe add a logo to the header that's in color?
