The Burning RedSqueaky Beach, Wilson's Promontory National Park, Victoria
I was lucky to catch this brief glimpse of the sun setting during a very rainy and dark day, in an area known for its rapidly changing weather. While shooting this a large rainbow played out across the sky behind me for the brief period the sun was out. It was unbelievably cold down there at the time, and a strong wind kept shaking the tripod which caused a portion of the photos to come out blurry.
The beach is named aptly so due to the noise the sand makes when you run on the beach - a squeak.

Beautiful photography! Beautiful sunset! The deep crimson red burning along the horizon gives off a great amount of warmth, while the beach front gives off a cooling effect both welcoming and inviting anyone and all to watch the masterpiece being painted before thine eyes

It's absolutely gorgeous! Tons of quality beach-sunset-shots here but this one is a class of it's own imo. I especially love the breaking waves with their green-blueish colour: such a contrast to all those fiery reds and oranges, somehow they enhance each others beauty. Great!
