This was a fun little picture to do! I had to keep the image small due to lack of time, but really happy with finished result!'s character, Vana, is having her first run in with my inkwyrm character, Kyprioth. (Drawn for her contest!
)Little backstory, Kyprioth is an inkwyrm who spends most of his time sleeping inside one form of vial or another. His resting form? Simply a puddle of ink. He absolutely hates being stirred from his slumber without warning, which is exactly what happened when Miss Vana accidentally tipped over his current resting place. Unfortunately, ink is not a very intimidating substance, even if it does happen to be red...

I like this one! You really mixed the character's expression with realistic detail very well.
That ink dragon sounds familiar. I think you asked me to draw something like that a while ago (never finished). Although, I think he was black then. I'm glad you held on to the concept!

I did one for my portfolio in Spring, intending him to become a sort of 'Mascot' for my art. I'm revisiting the idea and fleshing him out now! =3 I most often write in red ink, so I do think that black with red highlights is where I'll stay with him..

By the way, I'm curious about something. How many limbs does he have? In other words, does he have four legs and two wings, two legs and two wings, or some other combination?

Being made of ink, his shape changes continuously as it's unable to hold any one form. Usually it ranges between having two and six legs, and any wings will only be dripping stumps as they'd be so thin that they wouldn't hold their shape for long.

So I guess you're saying that, although he's a living liquid, he's still limited by surface tension or lack thereof. That makes sense, considering the fact that he'll probably never fly. Could he perhaps make faux wings by forming two fountains out of his back?

Kyprioth has changed forms many times, but he's always been my little 'sona! He used to be a creature of shadow, but then I thought- 'What better companion for an artist than a creature of ink?'

When I first saw this I had the 'wow' feeling right away! I just really love the paint effect you put in your pictures, and I love how you drew Vana, so detailed
Your character is also very interesting! His size makes him kinda cute, even when he's trying to be intimidating

Also, she's the first cat I've ever tried digitally painting, and it was Kyprioth's first time being digi-painted as well! XD
