Chapter 7
May
Part 1

A sophomore girl with a long, blonde, ponytail and a flower hairpin walked across the school halls, one day during lunch. Two guys, Owen and Ryu, see her walking by. Ryu looks at the girl and asked Owen, "Who is that?"
"Oh? Her?" Owen said, "That's just the most popular girl in school. Her name is May,"
"May, huh?" Ryu said, "I'm gonna try asking her out,"
"Don't even bother," Owen said, "She's turned down every guy who's ever asked her out. Even the ol' Owen charm didn't work. If that doesn't work, nothing ever will,"
"I don't care, I'm gonna try anyways," Ryu said, determined and brave. He walked over towards May and said, "Excuse me? Do you wanna hang out sometime?"
May looked at him and said, "I know what you're getting at, and you seem to be a nice guy, but you're just not my type, sorry," She smiled as she walked away. Ryu walked back over to Owen and Owen asked him, "So, how did it go?"
"She said I wasn't her type," Ryu said, "I don't get it, we just barely met,"
"That's what she said to me when I asked her out before," Owen said, "I wonder what her deal is,"
At that moment, Kalki walked by, on her way to go eat lunch. Owen grabbed her and said, "Hey, I need to..." but Kalki interrupted by punching him in the face, making him let go and causing him to fall down. "That's just what I need. Another guy that wants to have his way with me," Kalki said as she was about to walk away. "Wait!" Ryu stopped her, "He wasn't gonna be anything like that. At least, not this time," Kalki walked back over to Owen and said, "Ok then, what do you want?"
"I want you to be friends with May," Owen said to her.
"May?" Kalki asked
Owen pointed towards May and said, "Her. I need you to be friends with her,"
"Why do you need me to be friends with her?" Kalki asked.
"Man, you ask a lot of questions," Owen said, "Anyways, I need you to become good friends with her so you can ask her what kind of guy she likes. So far, every guy who's ever asked her out has been turned down. She must be looking for a really rare quality in a guy and, as soon as you figure it out, you'll tell me and then me and May can totally hook up,"
"One question, though" Kalki said, "I have no problem with being her friend, she seems like a really nice girl, but why would I do it for you?'
"Because I heard about your problem with Kraidar," Owen grinned, "He has been suspended because you helped get him in trouble. As soon as he gets back, you're gonna have hell to pay. You'll be lucky if all he does is rape you,"
"You're right," Kalki said, quietly.
"Well, i know the guy personally," Owen said, "If you be friends with May and tell me what kind of guy she likes, i'll keep Kraidar off your back,"
Kalki thought for a few minutes and said, "Ok, you have a deal. I'll be friends with her and, if she tells me what kind of guy she likes, i'll tell you,"
"Good girl," Owen said as Kalki walked away. There was a small moment of silence between Owen and Ryu, then Ryu said, "Hey, I thought I was the one who was gonna be with her,"
"Screw you," Owen said to him, "I need to get laid, too,"

Meanwhile, Kalki walked over to May and said, "Hi, would you like to be friends, I'm new here,"
"Oh, I heard about you," May said, "The one who caught Kraidar's wrongdoings red-handed. You've got some guts, kid. Taking on the kid with the most status and watching his tower crumble. After that, he's not gonna be getting away with everything anymore,"
"We can only hope," Kalki said.
"I would love to be friends with you," May said, putting her arm around Kalki, "I'm sure we'll become great friends,"
Kalki just smiled, unknowing what she'll be in for.
