Taken at Tompkins-Cortland Community College with two local native americans giving a presentation on their society in modern culture.

Somehow I prefer this shot over the other one. It puts him into a connection with a surrounding that makes him seem a bit out of place. It reflects what he really is doing: Trying to showcase his tradition and yet his place in modern society. It doesn't really seem to mix, but yet there he is, a sort of antagonism in itself. Then again, this is all perception, but I think it's possible to convey this perception with this shot.
I also think that the actual details of his garb and head dress come out better in this one shot than in the other one, gives a more "complete" picture (impression alone, not logical analysis here!).

Of the normal portraits in this series this is my favorite, however i like the dancing photo the most. you're right i didn't think how including the surrounding fit the entire purpose.

I'd agree. I'll do some more reviewing hopefully in the coming days, depending on what I can get done. Photography is always learning... cheers to that!
