Description
So what the living hell am I looking at?! Well, welcome to my strange life of designing visualized game program testing. What you're looking at here is (still) a star, and its planets. See, the star starts its life far away in the distance as an octahedron (think "eight-sided die"). Then, it "tesselates" as it gets closer, meaning its sides split into smaller pieces, which allow it to take a more complex form (like sawing planks in half to make more complex furniture). The last test made sure it could cut the sides in half (althugh only one half, actually one quarter, is still being shown). This one finally got the reshaping of them right. The big tilted square is actually an octahedron seen straight on, making it look like a square. The triangles around it are 1/4 of the "smaller pieces", which now puff up, creating the beginning of a sphere, a round star. And the Rubic's Cube on acid in the middle, that's ten octahedrons, which will at some point be improved upon to form the star's ten (temporary standardized number, it will vary in the future) planets around it, which will also start simple and reshape into a nice sphere as one approaches, once all this works. My life is weird. Now, I will eat unhealthy foodstuffs and watch something inane and funny.
