Description
This is a typography piece that is going on the back of a booklet I'm designing. But I think it stands alone just fine. This verse reminds me that God knows what He is doing. No matter what our mistakes, we can always make the decision to turn around. When we choose to follow Jesus, He can take our mistakes and turn them into something better than we ever dreamed. Deep down inside we all know that eternity is real...it is our decision where we will spend it - with God or without God.
The typography was done in Illustrator using the fonts "Blanch" and "Wisdom Script" from www.losttype.com . The texture was added in Photoshop.

I keep thinking of 'Something Beautiful' {by Newsboys or NeedtoBreathe}, when I look at this. Wonderfully done. <3

This is such a beautiful piece of typography. And it got the song "Beautiful things" stuck in my head. I have to point out though that you wrote "it's" when the verse, and proper English grammar, require it to be "its". But whatever.
Anyway, I like it a lot. Well done.

I love the piece!! It's lovely! (O_O I just used love twice SMH)

Thanks!
I used the NIV for this one. Normally I read and study with the NKJV, but for this particular piece of typography I liked the NIV wording better.

You're welcome
o.o Really? I looked the verse up in the NIV and the wording was much different! I like the way this one was written and I can't find it anywhere. >.>

Weird. When I look up the NIV it says "He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end." Here is a link to Blue Letter Bible:[link]
Maybe you should double check again?

D: A new Bible site (for me!)
I checked - I went to Bible Gateway and they automatically have the NIV, but it's the updated translation. Comparison:
NIV 1984
He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end.
NIV 2011
He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.
So, I was looking at the NIV, but it was the updated translation. O_O My bad! >.<

My client is putting on a conference and this booklet will be used for those attending to take notes. The typography is going on the back of the booklet. This is a young women's conference so I guess they are the age where they still take notes, lol!

I know where I'm spending my eternity: in the grave. I hear it's nice and quiet down there, just you and the worms. That, or I'd like to be reincarnated, you know--Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.

Go green! lol! Yup, your body will definitely be recycled back into the ground. Reduce, recycle, reuse, lol!
If you don't mind me asking, where do you think you will spend eternity? Your body will be buried in the ground, but what about the real you (your mind/soul)?

SingingOctopus In reply to Emberblue [2012-09-07 21:13:10 +0000 UTC]
I hope my mind will disappear, cease and desist. It would only be tiresome to persist past, oh, 70, 80 years of existence, and as long as I had accomplished something of worth, I may be satisfied with a mere 40 years. If souls are indeed eternal, I would be happy if it were bestowed on some other creature, as I stated earlier (i.e. reincarnation).
