I was bad and didn't prepare a Thanksgiving picture. Hopefully the thighs in this one will suffice.

And while we're at it, among all of the other worldly blessings we enjoy--indoor plumbing and climate control and motor vehicles and the ability to vacation anywhere in the world with only a day of travel and antibiotics and dentistry and computational power that fits in our pockets and so much food that the typical nutritional health problem is "too much" rather than "too little" (really, starvation isn't all it's cracked up to be by the haters of Western civilization)--let's also give thanks for beauty, which adds all sorts of unexpected spice to the daily ebb and flow of life. May we appreciate beauty and never abuse it, neither in the giving nor the receiving of it, and may we always treat our parents, siblings, spouses, and children with respect, gratitude, integrity, and affection. L'chaim!
