Description: Purchased Kit: March 2012
Finished: May 11, 2013
UPDATE - Made her base into a really glossy finish compared to this photo, fixed the gel super glue that was noticeable around the base. Parts are not glues especially her head since I am moving and need to disassemble parts.
Purchased kit back in March of 2012. I had a majority of her complete but some minor small parts needing repainted and decorated.
Made her shoulder guards using flex plastic and glitter polish since it matched the refs.
Tried to mimic musical refs of the actors as much as possible.
Carefully placed decorations gold trimming and pearls on outfit. I like to get my brush supplies from ebay,
they are nail art brushes since they are reasonably priced and work very well for drawing eyes.
Most of it all hand painted except for hair.
Experimented using a cheap can of air airbush kit, worked ok but was not the best.
Good test though, I like the red highlights!
Purchased wooden base and painted it by hand since I am awaiting for new better airbrush kit.
Hand drawn slips and burned with matches.
Put them at an angle so it was like they were striked though the ground when thrown.
Hand painted symbol with enamels since they seap into wood quicker and paint looks more even.

Do you know if there's a Sailor Moon version of this one? I couldn't find it yet, only the 4 inner senshis as a musical version.

Nope, from further research in the past one was never made, only people who own SM kits usually customize them to look like one. Only thing I recall being musical sailor moon was a rare gashapon you get in a raffle.

I do plan on making a custom musical sailor moon in her super attire, not sure if the model company will take it as a commission piece for reproduction but can look into it if its clean enough to reproduce.

Only ones available from real kits are Mars, Mercury, Venus, and Jupiter.
There was a custom on Sailor pluto in the past as well as another individual from the musical series but reproductions of those kits were never made cause there so rare.

Its better to paint big than a 1/8 scale lol *hands shaking to death* lol xD
This is not even compared to when Neptune comes in! Shell be I think more than 16 inches tall o____o;

I paint minis and for some reason that seems a lot easier than the big stuff.

Yes I agree it can be since you use less paint as well You can put a lot more details in smaller ones compared to larger. With larger skit I just like basic colors. I used to never understand why people shade certain kits since depending how the light kits them I see no point but it does give a fantastic look depending on your style of shading

I can understand that. And I guess maybe that's also why I like minis you need to put in less shading on to make them look cool. XD;;;
Next kit you should do some steps.

I tried doin' the whole step by step thing but man its a pain! lol Its like I do a few steps then I totally change my game in the next few steps which lead to confusion lol I try though to upload progress pics on facebook but that is about it lol

Awwwww. That's understandable though, if you find something that works better than before.
