Description This is yet another picture I had to take for school. Probably one of my least favorites. It was very rushed because I had to do another project right after and I was already behind on that =x This is basically my proof. I did a contact sheet, disliked almost all of my images, but stuck with this one. Took me no time at all to make, and the picture probably reflects that. I guess I do like some parts of it however. I think the accidental darkness sets the mood and expresses what is going on. It was supposed to represent silence, and I think I did an okay job of that. Guy in corner, the fist of say his dad, stepdad, big brother, uncle, you get the point.

When I first saw this deviation I stopped immediately on the strong feeling that emanates from the picture...

I would like to say more about this wonderful piece but Alter8ego has already said the most important.

I don't lie, I don't exagerrate, it's one of the most powerful picture I ever seen on this site.

Brilliant

I can't believe you only got one comment for this one

Even on the technical aspect the photo is rather pleasing, I would have used a stronger filter during developing for a more dramatic contrast, but even the current lighting creates the desired sombre effect.

It is a fantastic expressive composition with a conceptual foundation.

Sometimes the best shots are made in no time, with least fore-play so to say

hell... i'm gonna go on a whim and this one tomorrow , as i try not to fav more than one piece a day...coz the procedure otehrvise looses meaning or at least that is the way i view it
if i forget do poke me and i'll gladly stop by again and fav it

oh ...and i just glanced at the previous comment, and i couldn'd dissagree more. The fist is positioned and incorporated into the shot just the rigth way, symbolizing a menace . the DOF you created was just the perfect touch, as it leaves the aftermath of the fist's fury, being the person crying in the corner, in that hazy film of blurr, subordinated as a subject matter to the fist- which is the main focus.

great job.

don't be a slacker and do some more neat photos

Quite powerful. I like it, but I'd probably like it more if I saw a bit of the person's body (the assaulter) because it looks like the fist seems to be dangling in the air, and if the fist was directed at the victim (rather than at us) it would be a better image, but still it's great, it got my attention. I'm surprised that nobody's made any comment on this. Anyway, keep up the good work.
