As a result of their only being male Burmy in the trees of the Johto Region, they all end up evolving into the Mothim. Due to Mothim's ability to easily discover honey in forests, bug catchers use Mothim to find the rare and elusive Pokemon Heracross, a Pokemon who is often found on trees slathered with honey. However, recent disputes have surfaced due to Mothim attacking Heracross as a result of the Pokemon fighting over the honey being slathered on the trees.
