EDIT: Do not take what you're seeing above as unshakeable canon pertaining to Ree's eventual comic. This was done for fun, for creativity's sake, and to imagine a possibility of what might happen after the story events take place. Just a heads up!As requested by some of the folks who commented on the Lilith version ([link] ).
And yes, her hair gets darker as she ages, your eyes aren't fooling you. In her original design she had flat black hair but, as with all my concepts, they are in a constant state of flux. Least till I get them the hell out there all published-like. XD

Explained this earlier, bout the last one not being sized down properly when I finished it up. Last picture was 'closer' than the others, as such, looks taller. Gonna just fix this now and size her down in a new file so I don't keep freaking people out with faux-growth spurts. Haha.

I think in some cases that hair just gets darker as you age anyways. My sister's blond hair is starting to look more brown and she found a very dark strange of hair the other day. So it makes sense that her hair is getting darker.

I like how you can clearly see her personality through the drawings. At age 13, she really does look like one of those "nice but still annoying" type of girls, she also looks rather socially awkward as well.
