EDIT: Do not take what you're seeing above as unshakeable canon pertaining to Ree's eventual comic. This was done for fun, for creativity's sake, and to imagine a possibility of what might happen after the story events take place. Just a heads up!As requested by some of the folks who commented on the Lilith version ([link] ).
And yes, her hair gets darker as she ages, your eyes aren't fooling you. In her original design she had flat black hair but, as with all my concepts, they are in a constant state of flux. Least till I get them the hell out there all published-like. XD

I was thinking that she'd be a gaming tester or something for a big software company, where some of the games have a reputation for being a bit... demonic. But I like the way she turned out.

In the first two views her personality seems like someone with Asperger's syndrome* - socially awkward, geeky, aloof blurting out inappropriate comments. Then she becomes normal and super successful, yada yada yada...
Maybe she would be a more interesting character if she remained awkward, aloof, odd.
(but for the love of god or any other deities you hold dear, don't put any vampires in the story.....)

The actual story takes place when she's fourteen. Incidentally, when she is awkward, aloof, and odd! So no worries! Much more interesting than relatively-adjusted-later-on-in-life version!

My hair was like that! It was all light brown with natural highlights tinted green from swimming pools as a child that eventually got darker, and darker. My husband swears my hair is black, but it's just a DARK brown.
