EDIT: Do not take what you're seeing above as unshakeable canon pertaining to Ree's eventual comic. This was done for fun, for creativity's sake, and to imagine a possibility of what might happen after the story events take place. Just a heads up!As requested by some of the folks who commented on the Lilith version ([link] ).
And yes, her hair gets darker as she ages, your eyes aren't fooling you. In her original design she had flat black hair but, as with all my concepts, they are in a constant state of flux. Least till I get them the hell out there all published-like. XD

I really like this piece. Its amazing to see a character at 4 different ages in their life, it makes me think of myself and think How I would look at different stages. You feel like you haven't changed much but then you look back and see how much you really have.

Nicely done. My hair changed colors over the years too but it was a weirder transition from blond to black to auborn to chestnut brown.

I'm thinking that the "scruffy faced tutor" is Rex or something, but she tells her parents that "he's retired." And he's one of Ree's demons so...not too sure about the apocalypse and whatnot, but that kinda nags me a little. >.>

What I said applies to black hair, or hair that's dark in general. With blond hair, it tends to get darker with age, at least until the hair strands starts turning white *eep*. Of course, I'm not entirely certain everyone's the same, but I've still never seen dark brown hair turn black.

Umm. I dunno. Tons of brown haired people start out blondish. But I don't think it gets lighter till you start greying.

I've replied to the other comment but I suppose I should get to this one to. What I said (that hair grows lighter with age) applies to people with dark hair in general -- meaning, people with black hair, or a very dark brown -- and in this case, since I live in Asia, it means almost everyone I know.
On the other hand, from the previous few blond haired people I know, almost all their color grow darker with age (at least until *eek* the white appears). Of course, I'm not certain that everyone's this way, but I have yet to see dark brown hair turn black.
