Another of the Odds and Ends. Just Photoshop-made practice bits. This time it's the usual Ree folks.Oh, and for those of you who apparently think Rex is a pervert, given his tendency to be seen with these poor girls, I wouldn't fret for long.
For one, Rex is a demon, which in my little drawn universe, by default, gives him about as much inherent interest in carnal perversions as a cantaloupe has in hang-gliding.
And for two, Ree isn't terribly interested in boys to begin with. Particularly ones a few hundred years older than her. She abides by a strict unwritten rule she devised herself, to prize video games over the opposite sex until she's at least forty. A girl has to have priorities!

If Rex weren't so strangely and inherently asexual (it's hard to describe why, but it's the vibe he gives off) I'd have pinned him as a gay man who wasn't interested in men. If you get what I mean.
... Hmm, you probably don't. Ah, well.

I don't usually comment on your work because I find I have nothing of note to say, and I still believe that to be true, but I'll disregard the principle for now. You know that as long as two people are in the same story, someone will ship them regardless of logic or reason, of course? But I support your try. It never crossed my mind that anything like... that would be happening with Ree and Rex.

I'm in love with Rex's character design. Apart from the personality he gets when he talks (that I picked up on from some of the comic strips you've done), the fact that his personality is perfectly personified (alliteration is fun) through the way you draw him alone is wonderful.
The same goes for Ree and company, but Rex is my favorite. It's the eyebrows. <3

I'm sure Ree's parents are quite proud of their little geek. But when she gets through puberty, they'll be wanting grandchildren, not to see her pokeymans.
I always thought of Rex as a very fun character, I love his design and the animated poses he's always drawn in. This entire image, however, has a lot of implied movement to it, and is delivered in a nice perspective against a simple background, so that the focus isn't taken away to something else. I like that the most about this piece
