See, Sam is lucky he doesn't live with me. For starters, I like Christmas Cake. Second, even though I like the stuff, if he provided me with that instead of pie, I'd food process it, then stuff the resulting mulchy mess inside his pillow. And clothing drawers. And each of his socks.

Come to Australia, we have no carolers here. All caroling is contained to churches and school productions. And unfortunately, shopping centres. But still, the home is sacred.
I don't mind carols, but they have to be specific ones, and, well, I'm someone who thinks certain Christmassy things should be allocated to the 25th only. Including Deck the Freaking Halls.

I don't mind celebrating the holiday, or even many of the decorations. It's just those same songs OVER and OVER driving me INSANE.

Department stores tried to sell Christmas crap to people back in early September. They were up next to Halloween decorations. I nearly had a fit in the middle of KMart.
I count a few days ago how many time I heard 'Jingle Bells' while doing my Christmas shopping. 8 times. 8 freaking times. Sometimes it feels like people are trying to ruin this holiday for everyone. Especially me. Not to mention, again, I live in Australia, in one of the hottest parts of it. It is Summer here right now. Everytime I hear a song about snow and white and winter I want to take Frosty outside until he mealts under 35C heat.

Ugh, that sounds terrible. I just moved to a coastal town, myself; so WEIRD not having any snow this time of year. I mean it's barely even chilly. Oh, and I'm still taking my finals. Really doesn't feel all that close to Christmas.
Yeah, in my apartment complex some awful human being had "Jingle Bell Rock" on REPEAT the day after Thanksgiving.

Hey, good luck on your finals! I have a best mate who just finished Uni, when he was done he slept for 3 days and was suprised it was November. He thought it was still October.
