Description My design sketches for my 'Birdmen' illustration, found here: [link]

My main focus was actually on the head, as it was supposed to be a mixture of both human and bird. So I ended up placing the beak inside the mouth, and the lips pull back to show it, like when baboons show their teeth. The colors were also actually inspired by the American Kestrel, though the pattern is somewhat different.

I dig it alot. Have you ever thought of making them wingless?

I've considered wingless bird people and creatures, though in this particular instance the prompt specifically called for them to be winged and airborne.

Definitely points for creativity and a lot of polish on the painting. They look childish until they bear their beaks.

Yeah...I admit it was a bit tricky trying to blend the two together in a convincing way, as well as in a way that isn't as common.
