This is sort of how i would like future Star Trek movies to look. Going back towards that beautiful TMP style... I call it neo-TMP look, becasue it doesn't quite replicate the original, and because of the differences between real model photography and CGI it never will, i think it still has some of the TMP feel in it, being a CGI alternative to it.And merry Christmas to all my viewers!

Damn that is a sexy render, the lighting is superb. Love the hull design too, I've always found it odd that Reliant and her ilk always lack a deflector dish, this variant makes much more sense. Awesome job!

Truly beautiful work! the Abbe is one of my favorite designs and in my opinion TMP era Trek has the most elegant feel to it, even moreso than the organic look of the TNG era.

No serious damage, she's just more wear and tear then your usual Starfleet ship, because, being less of a luxury liner, and more of an actual military vessel, she's seen a lot of combat.

What render engine and modeller do you use? You can change the render engine, or settings to get near photorealism effects.

This is really awesome, the texture mimics the impentrable tritanium surface of fed starships. The only thing that might be better is technobabblish neutronium.

Where/how did you manage the lack of shuttlebay on the abbe? I see you added the deflector on the front - well done (I didn't bother with my ship :-/)

It has a shuttle bay integrated into it's saucer. Not visible on this image because of the angle. Look for my other AbbΓ© images, it should be visible there.

Okay. I did the same thing. (I can't recall how it was done on the original schematics). If you've ever seen Lord Schtupps TOS stuff he added a module to the Saladin/Hermes just below the saucer on the nacelle connector that had a shuttlebay. I've added that same idea to my TMP stuff, where it can fit at least.

As the AbbΓ© class is a much more combat oriented ship, i though it'd have a more worn and torn look then the super clean default for Federation ships.
