Description

Myriaverses has a wild and wacky group of life that get referred to as 5th Dimension Infusoria . This group contains many lifeforms, including things like Monoliths, Didis, Fauxes, and other living entities that have mobility beyond that of normal animals and people.

Rod Pectumimus or "Nymphs" are a sapient and fairly distinctive member of this group. They're part of the Infusorian subgroup known as Rods. Rods can appear across multiple planck frames at a time, resulting in their bodies appearing to "smear" across spacetime. This generally expresses as a rod extending its middle segment, repeating it mulitple times until reaching their end segment. The amount of repetitions when moving in this manner varies based on how thinly stretched they are through space and time.

Design wise, I've had them for awhile, but it took time to iron out their exact setup. There was a fine line between humanoid and uncanny beastie I wanted to hit. I think these are more conservative renditions, but should suffice just fine for a straight-forward ref. I can always render them more whimsically in other illustrations.

I want to keep this post brief so I don't make a novel in the description, but just know that I do have plans to use some bases I've cooked up for Nymphs so I can sell some designs in the near future. Hopefully that interests some of you, but I'm still happy to be able to finally have this complete.
