Description I don't play many video games, but I love creature design, and the Fallout 76 trailer was full of cool things, my favorite of which was the brief clip of a new creature called a megasloth. That got me thinking; what would sloths look like if they evolved to be megafauna again? I'd imagine they wouldn't be carnivorous (as the jagged teeth of Bethesda's megasloth imply)  so my interpretation isn't as frightening but a powerful beast nonetheless. An interesting idea is how current sloth symbiosis with the organisms in their fur could evolve further, possibly providing a form of defense? I've included this in my interpretation, with the sloths being host to a specialized fungus that releases toxic particles when the sloth is in danger. I'd imagine this is what could have allowed them to get larger, and as such young sloths find this adaptation the most helpful.

Love the idea! The creature in question has a very calacathere-esque feel to it- possibly an example of convergent evolution?

Thanks! And most definitely a case of convergent evolution
