Working on some branding. Input is welcome.EDIT: Reuploaded. Took suggestions into account. Thoughts?

I like it very much! No better brand than your own short and unique name to make people remember you.
I'm not sure about the braiding pattern though I like how it links the names. The bottom part of the stained circle should either be darker or gone, in my opinion. It seems to be doubting its own existance, and may fail to show up on printed/copied paper.

I agree about the circle; I was thinking about replacing it with something more planned anyway, like a filigree of some kind. The etching lines I'll have to play around with, no big deal.
Do you think having the last name above the first name is a conflict of hierarchy?

No problem as long as the first name is the first and main thing one reads, which the size and composition are definately making sure of. Not to mention it is most assumable that the shorter name is your first name.
Besides that, it isn't uncommon to list names sirname first; that comma is doing a good job should there be any doubt.
