EDIT: I WON!!! I seriously cant believe it but I did! Im so happy and honoured and just THANK YOU for thinking my schulpt was good enough! This mean a ton to me!

After a crazy amount of days , tears, rage, laughter, all-nighters, love, hate and some 5 buckets of glue I FINALLY present to you The Gatekeeper - my entry for competition ”Everything you know is Wrong” (in a rediculusly large amount of angles since I seriously couldnt choose XD).

The Rules...
simply read that we should re-design one/more of Turtles OCs into whatever we pleased – something that showed what we where interested in/represented us, but still recognizable as her character/s.
So, ladys and gentlemen without further ado this is Ginkoruma the Gatekeeper after Turtles Ginkoruma (Gin):

The Keepers Apperance...
is made out of Gin and his 2 different outfits blended togheter – his feet and nails, the shoes, arm-gears, gloves, ears with rings, teeth, eyes, necklace and hair. The Keeper has no eyes in his face only ”hair like” red markings representing how Gin most always hide his eyes behind his bangs. And on top of the ShintoGate-Shrine you can see the white design from Gins cape (pic 1).
Colorwise Ive tried to be true to Gin and his outfits colorscheme. Will add that the ”tattoos” on his tail/front legs/back legs are carved, not only painted. You can also see that the ”T.T.T.T-details” in Gins clothes appeare on the Keepers body.
I also read the bio of Gin and got to know he once was a Japanese stone guardian at a gate before taking a boy into possession - now that is the very reason as to why this became The Gatekeeper, why he is holding a Japanese gate, slightly resemble a Shisa, as well as having a Japanese bridge on his butt. And Gin really likes cats so there you have it.

Me in this work...
is where exactly? And why did I pick Gin?
- First of he is a awesome character. I really like him and his story. But I also choosed him because he represent the facination Ive always had for the old Japanese culture, their belifes and traditions.
- Gin loves cats, I love cats. And for the record, the white cat with blue markings on top of the gate is my Ragdoll Ori (Orion), and the white with brown markings on his leg is Shiva, my sis Ragdoll.
- I live and breath fantasy, am a constant dreamer 24/7 and thats what this whole creature represent. They live in my head! XD
- The staglike antlers and greenery is my burning love for nature, the wild and freedom - the 3 things I could not live without. <3
- And finally, you may have thought it wasnt there, you may have thought you were safe, but...
You.

WRONG!
The thing representing me the VERY most now and forever, my lifes big love – Spiders. It might not be seen with a mere glance, but count those legs/arms will ya. And also look at the 8 eyes the Keeper has on his neck.

The Hardships...
where many! Never had this much trouble before. I dropped it once crashing 3 legs into mush along with teeth and a lot of mane, after a whole day and nighter I baked it only to find it collapsed in the oven 15 minutes later – 6 legs smashed, distorted hind and front legs, shoulders ripped, hands, gloves and mane crashed into hundreds of pieces... yay... And here I wanna say a BIG thanks to all wonderful people that cheered me on! 2 day and nighters later, a tremendous amount of glue that I puzzled togheter some 100 small sculpey pieces with and hid under new sculpey and breaking of and resculpting other parts it was on its feet again (wich I though impossible), and after a heartripping final baking it was DONE! Lastly came the painting wich was somewhat tricky since balancing a 2kg sculpture in one hand while trying to paint small details with the other wasnt the easiest but hey, I made it! And oh how much fun it also has been!

DAYS TAKEN: 30 (not counting planing/designing stage)
HOURS TAKEN: Over 170

Made on...
a base of wire and tinfoil, sculpted with super sculpey and glue, (My mom thought I had become a glue snorting addict in the end and... maybe I have! O___O XD), painted with acrylics. Necklace made of air drying clay on a string (removable).

And that awesome people I think is all for my competition entry! I seriously cant believe its done! PARTY!!! And also thanks *Turtle-Arts for making such a superfun competition!

Last litte polite reminder: Do not dare to steal Ginkoruma (Gin) in any form or means, he is strictly ©, or my army of lovely spiders will hunt you down and build their nests and spawn in your lungs until you slowly suffocate. Im sure will give my method her blessing if a stealth would occur Have a nice day! Wach out for spiders. Ta-ta!
