Delilah lived in a cottage on an acreage, deep in the woods, with her husband of whom she loved with all her heart. As young and energetic adults, they built their humble home together and lived happily in it for many decades.Β
Her husband took special pride in the pond near the back of their property. When they had first arrived, it was plagued by stagnant waters and a thick algae bloom which had suffocated most of the wildlife who would have lived there. With great care, he worked the year round to bring life to the pond until it became clean, clear, and teeming with life.Β
From then on, he and Delilah spend their days together, sitting by
