Quick disclaimer, all of the drawings here are based off my Pokemon AU. But if you want to try something like this yourself, go for it!

As I have a few of the Pokemon Rivals involved in the evil teams, I thought I'd show them as they are in said evil teams. However, as you may notice, not all of them are 'sane'.

Wally - Wanting to improve himself as a Pokemon Trainer, Wally signed up into Team Magma's ranks as he believed they could help him better hone his skills. He was put under Courtney's unit, Maxie instructing her to oversee his training personally. However, on a mission gone wrong, Wally encounters with Brendan who attempts to tell him what Team Magma are really up to, only for Courtney to bring Wally back to Team Magma's Base and reassure him they are in the right, subtly mind controlling him with the mind control device she attached to his neck the moment Wally was put under her unit.

Lisia - When Team Aqua approached Wallace to join them, he had asked them to sponsor his niece, Lisia, in Pokemon Showcases. Archie agreed to this request and had a few grunts assist Lisia in her contests as background dancers Much to some of their embarrassment. Lisia isn't aware of Team Aqua's intentions, and so, when their true colours are revealed to her by Brendan, May, Max and Brock, she tries to help them reform, seeing the good in Team Aqua despite their crimes.

Sorrel - After Luxray saved him, members of Team Galactic had found Sorrel and took him back to their base in the mountains while he recovered. There, he met a younger Saturn who decides to entertain the wounded Sorrel with their science projects. This made Sorrel fascinated with science and so applied for apprenticeship, to which the Galactic Admins accepted and after approval by Cyrus, put him into the junior section of Team Galactic. However, as Sorrel grows up, he notices certain changes within Team Galactic. Then, he found out about Cyrus' ultimate plan to create a new world through the Lake Guardians and the Sinnoh Legends. From this, Sorrel runs away from Team Galactic and does everything in his power to stop their operations without the admins or Cyrus knowing.

Verity - When Lucas, Dawn, Gary, Sorrel and Verity battle Team Galactic in Veilstone City to retrieve the stolen meteors, Saturn recognises Verity as Cynthia's daughter and informs his colleagues. They manage to kidnap Verity and brainwash her into Team Galactic, intending to make her the Ultimate Weapon for Team Galactic.

Paul - In his childhood, Paul was a member of Hunter J's organisation alongside the Masked Marauder, Annie & Oakley and his older brother, Reggie. He was J's best hunter and prodigy. However, Reggie got in the way by taking him away from the organisation with him as they travelled the world, far away from Hunter J.

Iris - When Team Plasma attacked Opelucid City and Gym, they attempted to bring Drayden down, only to find Iris at the gym and decide to bring her into their ranks as another Team Plasma Grunt as she is Drayden's personal Gym Trainer. So, they use Caitlin's Psychic powers to bring Iris to their side and indoctrinate her into Team Plasma.

Trevor - After Lysander was defeated and killed, Team Flare went underground, carrying out certain operations as they brought in 'reinforcements' from a few gyms. Trevor was unfortunate to be at one of these gyms when Team Flare struck, captured him and put him under mind control through the visors as he assisted the scientists with their latest project. The Essentia Project.

Shauna - When she lost to Aria in the Kalos Showcase, Aria's mentor, Palmermo, came to see her and offered an opportunity to come train with her to become a better Pokemon Performer. While in the limo, however, Palmermo reveals herself to be the notorious Pokemon Hunter J who survived the Lake Guardians' Future Sight and went into hiding as she rebuilt her organisation from the ground up, making Shauna her newest recruit, codenamed 'Hunter S'.

Gladion - Finding out about the Silvally Project going on in the Aether Foundation, Gladion took Type Null and escaped the island then joined Team Skull in order to train Null up and himself in order to become stronger to defeat Lusamine and protect Lillie.

Bede - Entering the Galar League, Bede collects the Wishing Stars under Chairman Rose's request, but takes it to the extreme by destroying a few landmarks in order to collect them. He's even had a few run-ins with the Pokemon Rangers for putting Wild Pokemon in harms way!
