Capturing the Moon in this phase is fairly difficult for a number of reasons. One of them is that the visible surface is not very huge compared to the rest of the Month, meaning that the contrast of the target is not very high. Another reason is that, depending on the capture time, it might happen that the Moon does not stand very high at the sky and/or it might be daytime. In this case, the object will be even more blurry. In addition, an object in the sky with a low altitude is strongly affected by atmospheric dispersion where the single colors are "visible" in different qualities (you can use an ADC for correction if you shoot objects through a telescope).
So, considering the circumstances, you picked a fairly difficult target.
What I like the most is that you managed to achieve a good contrast and level of sharpness. Many Moon craters are very crisp and one can see many awesome details. Therefore you have taken a very good capture of the Moon.
The "ball" or dot at the top left of your picture might show a star, I suppose? This tells me that you might not have been in perfect focus with your lense or that the shutter time might have been a bit too long. I would suggest removing the bloated star next time.
Reagrding how to achieve even better results, I could tell you about shortening the shutter times and taking more pictures so you can use the stacking technique. However, looking at your other Moon pictures, I believe you already know these things.
For me, as someone also taking photographs of the Moon, it would be great to know what equipment and camera settings you used. Maybe putting them into the image description would help others like me to learn how to achieve the same results as you do.
Overall, I believe that among all waxing Moon pictures, yours is one of the best ones I have seen in the last months. Great job!

thank you very much for your Critique! Input is always welcome. you're right, that can only be a star. this is an early shot with a new lens/toy. I think I'm going to love being able to reach out to 600 mm. It's been a blast so far getting to know this lens.
I thank you for your time and consideration!

What a capture. That is the best phase of the moon. Is that a star or a planet?

Hey, awesome capture. The dot at the top left should be a bloated star. Venus unfortunately is too far away from the Moon in these days.
