oh boy, when i look at the foreleg, i should say this wolf is bound to die - just read the story you told about it, yes, thatΒ΄s nature... love the emotional touch this picture has without being sappy in any way...

Thanks. And yes, this is also nature. It would be great to see more art on the other side of the animal kingdom!

yes, so do i - for instance when i look at all these fantastic animation movies theyΒ΄re making, but theyΒ΄re all human stories with animals - "madagaskar" is so bad in my opinion - they could make such wonderful movies, but - - - they wouldnΒ΄t sell...
i suppose you know jack londonΒ΄s "wolfblood"? (well, iΒ΄m not sure if this is the original title, i just translated literally from german) - that would give a good movie...
i loved "spirit", because itΒ΄s not sooo much humanized (still a lot, but ok in my opinion)...
btw. do you know the art of bev dolittle?
i adore your art - keep it up...

Poor wolf, but fantastic art.Β You portray his emotions and sense of defeat so well.Β I also like the contrast of himΒ and hisΒ wounds up against the surrounding snow.Β It all has a great impact.Β

Thanks. As I told some others here, this wolf (a female) had it coming by bullying her group members all the time. When her son came of age, he had enough and attacked her. True story!

Not only is the artwork excellent, but this is a very evocative image too.Β I feel so sorry for animals that suffer like this, whether it be from other animals or from humans.

Thanks. And as for the suffering: this wolf had it coming. She was a tyrant, bullying her pack members around. When her son was old enough, he took revenge. True story.
