Description
Some kind of self-portrait I did on my birthday (well, from this information you can guess why the title )
This time, I wanted to avoid the usual "square/rectangular" structure and also get some Art-Nouveau vibes.

Beautiful drawing; I love the botanically accurate dandelions and the recumbent figure, I bet it looks stunning when the light catches the gold paint . Also the composition and combination of curves and rectangles works really well

Thank you very much Monty! (can I call you Monty?)
I am always a bit frustrated by how gold paint turns out on picture, it is never as shiny as in real life :/

Yeah (of course everyone calls me monty) as a long tome Gustav Klimt fan, I cAn relate.. Β the gold leaf always comes out dull brown in reproductions, only when I stood in front of one in Vienna.. and the sun came out... wow
Β but donβt be discouraged. Β I read about the Wilton Diptych that it was meant to be viewed only by candle-light.. I think that would make for an incredible experience with all those bits of gold leaf. Β Same goes for yours!
