Description
I'm pretty sure these are miniature roses that my mother had in planters on our back porch in Canada; they might be peonies though. They had come to the end of their life and were dying, and as they did so, the petals all fell outwards, still hanging onto the flower. It struck me that the flowers just looked so fully open, so I took pcitures. I love the contrast of the photo; the way the dying flowers still give off so much light and seem so beaufitul just because the rest of the picture is so stark and impenitrable
