Rabbitfoot's father, Swiftclaw, was a rather uncommitted member of Iceclan; he might've been a warrior, but he often shirked his duties to go frolic and chase after she-cats. Though, due to his low rank as a warrior, he was often denied, so he just started searching outside the clan, like in the city. Swiftclaw met Sakura, a pure-bred Japanese bobtail show cat this way. At first, Sakura wouldn't give him the time of day; a superiority complex that is stereotypical of divas. Though, he eventually won her over with his many made-up heroic tales of his stupendous life as a warrior cat. Over time, the pair grew closer and closer and Swiftclaw spent less and less time at the camp. He'd been chased off several times by Sakura's humans, but in the end they still ended up having kits. Unfortunately, the two couldn't have picked a worse time; the she-cat's humans were in the process of moving, so soon Swiftclaw wouldn't be able to see his love or his kits. In an attempt to cheer the tom up, she gave him the kit that looked most like her, Rabbitkit, and told him to watch her grow to be an amazing warrior like her father. He of course took the unnamed kit at the time back to his clan and was immediately reprimanded for his disloyalty to his clan. Since the kit couldn't help being born, she was taken in, but her father was banished. He'd sometimes come back to check on his daughter from afar, but really, Rabbitfoot was raised as if she had no parents. At the time, she was named Rabbitkit due to her tiny rabbit-like tail, but as she grew, it was apparent something was wrong with her. She was more rabbit-like than previously thought; the way she got around was by hopping rather than walking like a normal kit. The queens were really troubled by the behavior and would talk about her and how strange she was, which of course her littermates picked up on and soon the kit was teased mercilessly. She felt a little bit like an outcast, but instead of going into a shell, she became very expressive and loud, just like her Japanese bobtail ancestors, in an attempt to not be ignored by others. Her loudness annoyed the other kits, so they just started picking on her more by getting pounced on when they played hunting games and would often be the rabbit or the mouse. At the time, she was rather slow because of her lack of control in her legs so she was easy prey.

The merciless treatment continued well into her apprenticeship and in an attempt to stop it, she started training herself to run. Rather than run like a cat, she decided not to go against her nature so she started observing rabbits and taking off after them. She quickly learned how to use her legs like how she was supposed to use them and she gained some confidence in herself. Now, she always let others know what's on her mind.

Since she'd become a warrior, she feels as if there's a shadow following her; the shadow of her father's disloyalty. Though, since she was so young, she has no idea why she always feels other's disapproving gaze on her back. Eventually she went to her mentor and asked him if he knew anything and because the older warrior felt compassion for her, he told her. Nowadays, she's very skeptical of males; would they just leave her if she ever decided to have a mate? Not only that, but the cruelty of the others when she was just a kit made her rather dislike them. To this day, she'd come to the conclusion that she wants to prove herself as a brave warrior, better than her father ever was and to do that, she focuses all her energy on her duties, giving 110% always and because she gives so much effort she never has time for love. Not only that, but she is pretty cynical towards males. She feels pretty out of place in Iceclan since she's a much better runner than swimmer, but she is devoted to never betray her clan. The she-cat just wished she was more useful and from time to time she has moments of doubt, where she thinks for only a second about running off to join Heatherclan

The cool calm morning began with the early sun peaking through the camp; morning dew glistening on the tall grass. This was her favorite time of day. The serenity undisturbed by others aside from the soft stirring of those with restless sleep. She stretched her healthy body and shook off the feelings of sleepiness before slipping silently out of the den so as not to disturb her denmates. She trekked quietly throughout the Clan, wordlessly checking on everyone to make sure they were all safe and sound. It was a self-appointed duty she placed on her shoulders, but she didn't mind at all. It was her way of showing her discreet adoration of the other members of her family, whether they knew it or not. She did this to justify her strict, almost cold behavior during the day; maybe one day the kits would understand her glares of indignation, maybe one day the apprentices would appreciate her scolding them. Maybe. That seemed like a lot to hope for, but she was optimistic; someone, some day, would understand her.
