Description
Just another showcase. This time the M-76 Revenant Rifle we first saw in Mass Effect 2. In fact in ME2 it was the heaviest Assault Rifle, but they make it much weaker in every aspect for ME3 and ME Andromeda.
The Revenant was an old Krogan Rifle and is still the largest Assault Rifle today.
It unleashes a storm of deadly high velocity slugs. Less accurate than other assault rifles, but has a high ammo capacity and deals much more damage. Effective against armor, shields and biotic barriers. The Revenant is perfect for the krogan knife-fight range mentality, because it shows its strenght in low to mid size range. Beside the Krogans, this gun was also used by the Geth Heretic's Juggernauts.
The Human controlled Company Kassa Fabrications use the specifications of the Revenant to replicate a smaller version more suitable for humans, but with less ammo capacity. The M-76 Revenant selled by Kassa is the upgrade model of their older Vindicator Battle Rifle.
This custom-made machine gun features technology not widely available. Protected against replication by sophisticated Fabrication Rights Management (FRM) technology, only the richest and most powerful warlords can afford this weapon.

The ME2 version was ridiculously powerful, almost like a heavy weapon but only needing standard heat clips Bit sad they nerfed it so much in ME3 though I can understand the reasoning, you would never use any other weapon!

The best sounding weapon when used by other squad members in ME3!

I love this Rifle. Even though the other weapons in that particular pile in ME2 are weapons you can't equip otherwise, I always go for it. I always make sure I use it in 3, along with the rest of the Squad that can use them. I use the Stabilizer and the Ammo Upgrades on it. 100+ shots per clip is damn worth it.

It mostly depend on which class you play in Mass Effect 2. The Black Widow Sniper Rifle is also super strong. It can instakill most of the enemies.
But yeah, as Soldier class, the Revenant was the best weapon in the game. Too bad they make it much weaker in Mass Effect 3. Still a good weapon, but lots of missing shots.

Also, isn't it just the Widow Rifle in ME2? I'm pretty sure it's the same rifle that Legion unlocks with research. Just like the Shotgun is the same one that Grunt unlocks.

Yes, you are right. Its the basic Widow Rifle. The Black Widow was the upgrade. The Widow can only be used by Legion and Shepard if he is Infiltrator class.

As I said, the Assault Rifle Dampener reduces that problem a lot. Although I just found the N7 Typhoon has even MORE ammo. 140 base. It's allowing me to RIP through the earlier levels of the game.
I've never gotten to theΒ lvl 10 in MEA.

The Typhoon is good for heavier units like Banshees, Brutes or Geth Primes. One Magazine usually kills them. Try using the Typhoon on the Destroyer Soldier. Its the ultimate companion for him.

This one:
The N7 Destroyer had an special suit ability to enhanced heavy weapons. In combination with the Typhoon he is unstopable.

I presume that's in the Multiplayer? I don't play it any more.

Yep, he is from Multiplayer. I also stopped to play MP over two years ago, but i still know the Destroyer Solder very good, because he was one of my favorite class to play.

Why can't EA just open source the development of the Mass Effect games. They're plenty of fans that would do just for the credit.

I highly doubt, that a greedy company like EA will ever give something out of their hand, when there is still the possibility to make money with it.

Yep, the Valkyrie was good in Multiplayer. A trained one can instakill most infantry units with headshot.
But mostly im on the battlefield with the Lancer rifle. Endless ammo for the win.

I always hated the Mass Effect weapons for the most part. Too fancy. Give me a rifle withoutΒ the ability to fold upon itself to be smaller over one that does any day...

Also, grains of sand? Useless from a gun standpoint. Worse effective range, low kinetic energy, etc. The smallest I've seen guns go is 1mm, and that is obscureΒ as fuck.

Yeah, I'm part of Spacebattles which looks into these things and they... pretty much have question marks over how the guns work. For the most part, they calculated that the weapons in Mass Effect are like modern ones, just with shorter range and other factors.

Yep, it was super fun in Mass Effect 2. Standing in the mid of the battlefield and pumping hundred of rounds in the Collectors.
Too bad they made her so much weaker in ME3 and Andromeda.
