Another Mass Effect Weapon Showcase. This time the Turian Krysae Sniper Rilfe from Mass Effect 3. Not my favorite one (due to the slow reload time) but a fun-weapon on Bronze mode because of the exploding rounds.
Krysae Specs Overview
The Krysae Sniper Rifle is easily recognizable as Turian design and is primary used by the Hierarchy military. However, during the Reaper War lots of them were shipped to the N7 Special Forces all over the Galaxy. Even if the rifle had been on duty for a longer time, it gained notoriety in the Reaper war, because the Hierarchy modified the Rifle to shoot specialized ammunition which are both armor-piercing and explosive. This was a direct response to the ability of the Reaper Cannibal ground troops who enhanced themself with the armor of fallen Husks and other Cannibals. In order not to leave any workable residues for the cannibals, the Krysae fires a explosive round which detonate with an proximity fuse and leave only pieces left from enemies.
The Krysae deals area of effect damage in the form of an explosion - this can be utilised to not only shoot enemies behind cover by aiming above their heads, but also to damage large groups of enemies.
The Krysae was originally designed to have a scope that auto-zoomed on targets for easier aiming. But the mechanic was abandoned because it ended up making gunners motion sick.
In a desperate move, the turians released its specifications over the extranet so that nearly anyone with a fabricator could manufacture this weapon to help the war effort.

My favorite was the N7 Valiant. The Krysae wasnt good enough for Gold or Platinum modes because of the high reload time.
But it is fun on bronze or silver seeing Husks or Cannibals explode.

Yeah I see you raised (my) a valid point. Fun on Bronze, but Gold+ you could do more damage using harsh language. Sniping was never my thing in MP, but Valiant or Indra were fun. Indra especially. Like Lancer with a scope if you don't like to camp... or if you do with extra ammo capacity classes.

Indra is very good (basically the Assault Rifle under the Snipers) but the Valiant is better for instant headshots. A good markman makes three kills with the three shots the Valiant have each thermo magazine.
