Well, I was so well cured that I don't even remember much of how it felt like, living in fantasy 24 hours a day, as if there was a kind of enchanted veil between me and the rest of the world. People took it for loneliness, but the fact is I couldn't share my fantasy with anyone, and I wouldn't leave it for anything... I would have fallen back hard on solid, mundane earth at some time, but I don't remember anything so radical happening.... Well, it's all water under the bridge, now...
