He jumped mostly in-place thanks to this being, like, the tenth shot in this series for which I'd had him pose in midair. He'd by then learned not to actually leap blindly into terrain fifteen feet below him.

This was one of a few "why isn't Fiona here?!" moments over the span of those two days (which were always followed up immediately with "oh, yeah, we're driving up here again this summer..." moments). Where we were when we shot this/these is on the way to Bodie (!) and it's about an hour from the piano (!!).
