I like seeing Pearlβs caring and somewhat nosey sides coming together, and her deal is perfectly reasonable: especially for a beloved aunt of sorts.
Wasnβt Lazuli complaining about the beach being too hot earlier?
Maybe itβs more soothing as a hot tub, but I wonder if sheβd be comfortable in a different way in freezing water.

The former shows the reader anticipation that properly drawing out plot points is intended to build up.
The latter is just rude, and shows an ignorance of story structure. Tension and anticipation are built up by making readers want something, and holding off on giving it to them. If everything resolved quickly, there wouldnβt be much of a story or an emotional tie-in to it.
