Kithood:

Nightkit was born to Briarthorn and Gorsefeather beside her sister Goosekit and brother Neetlekit. Their parents never played favorites, but the kits all preferred their father, Gorsefeather, over their mother's prickly temper. Their father showed the kits how to wad moss balls into the perfect size for throwing and to not fear the night, the last bit especially for Nightkit. He told her every night as they watched silverpelt come into view that she was just as beautiful as it and it helped shape her confidence.

Apprenticehood:

Nightpaw was a diligent apprentice, that is, until a leaf would blow by and get her attention or a noise would make her follow it. It annoyed her mentor to no end, and she was often punished by cleaning nests because of it. She knew she was lagging behind her siblings, and whenever she grew discouraged her father would notice and take her out to watch silverpelt show up like he did when she was a kit. Except this time he would tell her that she was as strong as the night was dark, and she would become the warrior he knew she could be.

Warrior:

Not long after being made a warrior, along side Goosetail and Neetlefur, their father was drowned when a log fell on him that leaf fall. Losing her mate caused Briarthorn to grow even more bitter and mean, nearly cutting off her kits and even her clan. Nightpoppy did her best to make sure her mother ate and got out of the den, but she could only do so much. Nearly three moons after Gorsefeather's death, Goosetail and Neetlefur convinced their mother to live the rest of her days as a kittypet, much to their sister's dismay. She refuses to go near the twoleg nests, not wanting to see the siblings who left her to bear her father's death alone.
