Description
On Christmas Eve night of 1947, Lake Erie & Eastern R1 4-8-4 #3701 "Artemis" races out of Pittsburgh PA for Battle Creek MI with another Fast Freight bound for Chicago IL. The train that 3701 was hauling was over 1 1/2 Miles long loaded with freight bound for Lake Erie. Despite this, the 3701 hauled the train like it was nothing.evangaines 2023
