Description
Don't argue with the boys, little girlDon't you know that this is their world?
Haven't you heard that the men run the show?
And that little boys have rights, that you just don't know?
Shut up, little girl
Where'd you get such a mouth?
Don't you know what this world's all about?
Don't argue with the boys,
That's what they say
But since when did this little girl, ever listen?
Not. a. single. damn. day.

I agree.
It seems like it's more likely to see a woman in a submissive role than a man.

I hadn't realized that I had favorited this but not commented.
I love the imagery, especially with the verse. It makes a very poignant statement that more people need to hear.
I definitely agree with the statement you're trying to make.
Also, I like that its in b/w. I don't think it would have made as much of an impact in color.

Meh... women have every chance men have... Fuck, 150 years ago they were publishing medical journals that said that women lacked the intelligence to do anything but cook, clean, and have kids*. Now, a woman can do almost anything she puts her mind to. I agree that a lot of the world is still very male-oriented, but at least in the US we've made huge strides in women's rights.
*These journals also said that masturbation causes blindness, deafness, retardation, and a bunch of other shit. So... yeah.

This photo was more for fun than anything. I'm far from a feminist and I'm quite happy and content with roles most would consider too "old-fashioned" and "traditional".
That might surprise some, but... oh well.
To me, the photo mostly means the times I've been ridiculed for not being a whore. For arguing with guys and demanding respect.

doesn't really surprise me, in some ways some women have it easier assuming the traditional roles
but good on you for arguing
who wants to be a whore?

I hate to disagree with a man, but women still have far fewer chances than men. The only area where women is superior is college. There are far more women with degrees today than men. However, men still make more, men still get treated better. There are even parts of the world where being a women still means you stay at home, watch the kids, cook, clean, and rub your husbands sore feet when he gets home. It's disgusting.

and all these creation myths (i'm sorry if i offend anyone and their beliefs, just speaking my mind) like adam and eve and pandoras box and stuff portray the woman as the one who succumbs to temptation, the one who is weaker and too easily influenced, the one who unleashes sin and suffering on the world, as an excuse to make them inferior
in my opinion, adam was the weaker
eve was curious and daring and then adam was the one who allowed himself to be pushed into eating the apple by her
either that or they're equal, as it should be

Dude, there are parts of the world where being a woman means getting your clit cut off when you're 12, being responsible for all the manual labor (and I do mean ALL the manual labor), taking care of your worthless husband while he sits around all fucking day, being beaten because you didn't have your face covered up entirely, and still being expected to everything you just listed. So, don't tell me that women in the US have fewer chances then men.

I never said that women in the US have it worse than women elsewhere, in fact I'd say we're pretty well off. But we do have fewer chances than men.
And for the most part, the things you're talking about are either illegal or only practiced by religious extremists in the places your talking about. So unless you've experienced it, don't make a generalized statement about another society.
