Description
A return to my roots. My art teacher started me off with pieces that involved fruit. Apples became my favorite subjects. They were easy enough to find, draw and color regardless of the medium. And there are so many ways to present them.Pentel and Lyra oil pastels on drawing paper.

Don't try it with turpentine: too noxious. Try it with soft pastels and linseed oil. In small amounts. Go ahead and use baby oil if you have to.

this is a nice warm piece. I like how you have put red on red and surround the subject with green. Well done buddy

The inspiration was a similar piece I studied when I was learning how to paint in oil. Thanks, Christine!
