Second In my series Promanade.

This is a fence around a cafe, all along the seafront can be found extrodinary sculptural items of street furniture, they were part of a huge refurbishment of the lower promenade carried out by the council a few years back. Local artists were commisioned to produce appropriately sea themed designs for paving, benches, fences and the occasional pure sculpture.

The stucture in this shot, I believe is meant to represent fisheman's floats upon waves, oddly I always see it as a series of balls impossibly rolling uphill
