Description SIMIAN DEMON
Latin: Simia Daemoniorum (so says google)
Race: Demon
Species: Pithecus
Height: 4 Meters
Length: 6 Meters
Weight: 400 Kg

The Simian Demon is a beast of true ferocity with both the appearance and nature of a baboon it will use it's powerful limbs to move it's body at alarming speeds of 70mph, it is also surprisingly agile being able to swing and leap of anything that can support it's weight allowing it to move large distances without having to use much energy to do so.

The Simian Demon has been seen interacting with other species of Demons and fighting against them, witnesses have seen these demons challenge and defeat various demons they come across, these battles have been described as "pretty one sided in the Simians favor", they have even been known to fight Draconids like Drakes and even Wyverns from time to time, But the most impressive challenger witnessed was against a Tyrant Demon.
Although compared to the Tyrant demon it's size is much smaller, the Simian Demons strength rivals that of the large dinosaurian, being able to snap the jaws of a Tyrant if given a chance, this strength also allows their arms to punch clean through solid boulders as if they where nothing.
Though rare to come across the 2 fighting it has been known to scare off any surrounding wild life when these fights occur.
the 2 even share similar abilities in the case of their roars, in which both Demons have been known to blast immense amounts of destructive energy at one another.

Although the roar or more accurate HOWL of the Simian Demon doesn't spread or have as much impact as the Tyrants roar it is a lot more focused and forms a kind of beam of golden destruction giving this demon the title "Golden disaster" by those who have seen it and lived to tell the tale.

it is a very curious mystery why these Demons resemble primates so much, there are many theories ranging from the scientific, the coincidental and the symbolic.
. SCIENTIFIC - these beasts are the result of a split from primate evolution which occurred when an already existing relative stumbled into the inferno we all call hell.
. COINCIDENCE - it could also be a case of convergent evolution where the demon is not at all related to the primate family tree but due to living in similar conditions just happened to evolve in a very similar way.
. SYMBOLIC - there are some people who believe that these demons are a manifestation of humanities rage personified, with all of the anger and wrath expressed all forming together to create these monstrous beasts in hell as a reflection of our malice.

Even though many cases show that these Demons are hyper aggressive beasts who will attack anything on sight there is a story that strikes as backwards in comparison the the Simian demon's reputation
supposedly there has been a single case of a human baby being adopted and raised by the demon as if it was one if its own ofspring, no one is at all sure why this happened or why this individual didn't instantly kill the helpless infant but it has made many people who hear this story wonder if they are truly beings of absolute destruction or if they should even believe the story to begin with, but the biggest mystery of all is "if this story is in fact true, then what happened to the child".

my god what is this? a picture from me that ISN'T related to reptiles in any way, shape or form?
truly this is a warning that something horribly wrong with the universe!
i had a lot of fun on this one and i really hope you all enjoy it, the things that inspired me to draw this would be King Kong, the Oozaru from dragon ball Z and the discovery channel after watching a bit on baboons & gelada monkeys just doing their thing.
either way enjoy

WOAH, this is really freakin' awesome! I am a pretty big fan of sharp-toothed primates in terms of their looks, but this next level. It's perfect. I really enjoy the lore behind it and its overall design. The fur placement is lovely, I LOVE the feet, and the horns are just such a nice cherry on top!! I'm also pretty infatuated with the drawing itself. I love the pose, it's very balanced and sturdy, but I also really like how you show the momentum of the demon as its bounding forward. It is so full of life that it is really easy, if not compulsory, to imagine an animation of the creature launching itself into attack. And I must mention that the way you drew the mouth is very pleasing, too!
Also, how do you get those digits so perfect??? I'm a bit envious. They're so flawless. I love their nimble yet strong appearance.

really means a lot form you

the lore was 1 of my favorite bits to do because feral primates always reminded me of the more primal side of humanity, but i wanted an air of intelligence and mystery with it too
. why do YOU think the demon took the human baby as it's own
. do you believe the story is even real or just make believe?
. do simian demons even exist with how rare the sightings are?
it's cool to have that small sense of mystery to have people want to know more about the beast

it was fun to do, although personally i might redo this, i feel like with my newer skills in posing and eye for anatomy & detail, i could make it look a lot more muscular and interesting
i'll probably use a different pair of horns, i feel like these are a tad too similar to the Rajang's from monster hunter
(although come to think of it the entire thing seems a tad similar )
happy to hear you like the design, it was fun to do a mammal for once, i knew i HAD to get good at hands to make it a primate, so i practiced a bunch, looked at references, looked at my own hands in different positions, just so i could make it fit better than the hands i was doing for monsters at the time
(I.E dinosaur and bird hands)
i'm happy you love this creature so much, it's actually 1 of my faves because it made me learn about more mammalian traits
(i've learned more ever since)
i would LOVE to see an animation of some of my demon designs, i know some like the tyrant would be a pain in the ass to animate but i fee simpler ones like this, the yeti and the salamander would be cool to see in motion
my little brother does animation actually, so i'll see if i can ask him for a favor some time

the fingers are always a struggle, with me i just looked at human hands and say how the joints stick out a bit, things like knuckles is fun to learn because it helps make the hand seem more like a hand and less like a glove

This reminds me of some kaiju like King Caesar for some reason.

ok after googling that i can see what you mean
always find it funny when i make things and it turns out it is similar to other things i have never seen

Yeah, I noticed the resemblance before you did, I must have first seen King Caesar since like between 2014 and 2016 when I wasn't that much of a godzilla fan, as well as some other godzilla kaiju during that time, but during those times I was only actually aware of Godzilla, Mothra, King Ghidorah, and King Kong (Mostly Godzilla and King Kong).

Evodolka In reply to ZinaDinosaur [2017-11-24 00:16:00 +0000 UTC]

clearly as i have only heard of king Caesar NOW

same i only know those guys and a few godzilla variants

ZinaDinosaur In reply to Evodolka [2017-11-24 00:18:27 +0000 UTC]

Well, I have also heard of Mechagodzilla during some occasional times during from 2014 to 2016.

i count that as a sort of variant

ZinaDinosaur In reply to Evodolka [2017-11-24 00:25:23 +0000 UTC]

Well, Mechagodzilla is a variant, but a separate monster that's like a robotic godzilla.

Evodolka In reply to ZinaDinosaur [2017-11-24 00:51:06 +0000 UTC]

when i said variants i meant things like space godzilla, mecha godzilla, godzilla 98 (personal favorite)

ZinaDinosaur In reply to Evodolka [2017-11-24 01:00:31 +0000 UTC]

Oh, okay. I wasn't that aware of Space Godzilla during the time, but I was aware of Mechagodzilla and Godzilla 98 (AKA Zilla), I mostly was aware of the AVGN's negative opinions toward the 1998 American version, the 1998 version was bad, it turned Godzilla into a box-headed, chicken-legged, skinny, T-rex like, crimson-chinned freak, but I respect your opinion on the 1998 Godzilla being your favorite godzilla variant.

Evodolka In reply to ZinaDinosaur [2017-11-24 01:13:30 +0000 UTC]

it also made Godzilla far more relatable
he was just an accident that wants to exist in the world and live his life
rather than the 2014 versions "gigantic super hero who only exists to save mankind (even though he wipes out every city he goes to)"

cool usually i ee a ton of people say "don't pull the pin from that grenade" or "please stop" or the much more common "shut up you fool"

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ZinaDinosaur In reply to Evodolka [2017-11-24 01:31:45 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, he does actually have the need to exist, not get so much hate. The original 1994 version that was never made felt like this film should have been the best godzilla movie ever, but the 1998 version came out instead and disappointed many fans & people.

Btw, Godzilla 2014 is pretty much better than Godzilla 1998 after all in my honest opinion.

Evodolka In reply to ZinaDinosaur [2017-11-24 01:41:05 +0000 UTC]

exactly, nothing really does, he was just doing his own thing
admirably yeah 1998 was the 1st one i saw so it got me into the idea of gigantic reptiles but with 2014 i thought it was just poorly done
there is a movie and then there is filling a room with a fog machine for 2 1/2 hours

everyone ha their tastes, i guess mine just stands out compared to most

ZinaDinosaur In reply to Evodolka [2017-11-24 01:56:08 +0000 UTC]

Well, the 2014 Godzilla movie actually didn't really feel like a true Godzilla movie, we don't see much of Godzilla in this film, and we usually just see shots with people talking and screaming in panic running away from MUTOS.

Well, the 1998 film at least felt more like a godzilla film than the 2014 film, but the 2016 Shin Godzilla film was quite great indeed in my opinion, as it does feel like it's a true godzilla film (even the CGI looks so realistic, I first thought the 4th form in the film was a suit).

Evodolka In reply to ZinaDinosaur [2017-11-24 02:04:43 +0000 UTC]

exactly, i told he wasn;t in it much but i thought they meant more than collectively 3 minutes

i hear that shin is a good one because it goes back to it's roots of "symbolic of nuclear weaponry and the dangers"
rather than the giant lizard we all know
i know they switched between CG and live action puppet with shin also
