It was thought to be impenetrable, a fortress that would never be toppled. Massive stone walls that withstood hundreds of assaults and years. Ancient oaken gates that denied dozens of battering rams and barred thousands of soldiers. Like a great mountain standing before the raging sea, many armies dashed themselves against its barricades with no avail. Some saw this mighty castle as a legend, until the day a true legend reared its head. Such stories of this fortress' invincibility were tempting to those with a thirst for destruction, and at last it had caught the wrong eye. When the sky darkened and the thunder rocked the sky, they thought it was just another storm. Just another bit of foul weather that meant nothing to the mighty stone walls. Then it descended from the heavens and they realized how wrong they were. Giant stone blocks and massive wooden slabs were no better than grains of sand to those ravenous twisters. Walls and barricades that withstood hundreds of catapult shots shattered beneath the great bolts of lightening, and the claps of thunder rattled every inch of the dying land. Even as the fortress was shredded and the lands around it were mauled by the storm's power, nothing drowned out that booming laughter, as the destroyer claimed his kill.

It was once a castle that feared no man or army, but it was nothing compared to a demon who wielded the power of the gods.
