Description
Guterals are a type of Undead created by Ver'Rahl. Though they have a scary appearance, Guterals are not used for fighting. They are instead used to capture prisoners or people of interest. Using their claws for climbing, they find themselves a perch to hide on, waiting for the prey to pass by their hiding spot. Once the target is in range, it throws out its large mouth to swallow them. Once the prey is inside its throat, the mouth seals shut and twists itself to prevent opening attempts. The whole head is then slung onto the Guteral's back for carrying. The Guteral then leaves the area and meets up at a rendezvous point for extraction.

The head of the Guteral has gill slits in order for air to come in and out of the throat. Undead do not need to breath, but the living do. The gill slits were added when Ver'Rahl received a special hostage in a rather unwanted state.

Though not made for fighting, Guterals can defend themselves with their large claws and by whipping their heads at enemies. When in a pinch, a Guteral will swing its head even if a prisoner is inside. The flesh of the Undead absorbs most of the blow, but it is still not pleasant for the person trapped inside.
