Description
Urchin Zombies (Also known as Crown of Thorns) start their lives out as sea star-like organisms. Their top surface is covered in sharp spines, while their bottoms have thousands of small feet and tubes to help it move. Unlike sea stars, they move at a moderate speed, searching around for hosts. They do not eat at their stage, instead they live off the energy and nutrients they get during their egg stage. Once they find a suitable host, they peel half of their body off the ground, exposing their underbelly. A long, stretchy "tongue" will shoot out and latch onto the victim, pulling the Urchin along with it. Its many legs and tubes make it almost impossible to dislodge from their flesh, as it climbs up to the host's head. There it will envelop the head and move onto its next stage. The body will reform into the characteristic "urchin" head, anchoring long piercing spines into the skull. The brain of the victim will be broken down and moved into the spine of the host body so that it is not damaged when the head spines impale victims. A grinding mouth will form in the chest area for consuming prey. Hard, chitin shells will slowly begin to form, as bone-anchored claws develop on the digits. The Urchin will use its spines and claws to take down prey, and force the flesh into its pulverizing maw. Over time, this stage will develop into the final stage, where the entire body is coated in black shell. At this stage, the Urchin is capable of reproducing. Males pump sperm into a hollow spine on the head and jab it into females. Females will then release eggs from their mouths and the cycle continues.---------------
Essentially just like a Headcrab zombie thing from Half-Life. But different! (Kind of)

Or the urchin makes the host have animalistic and agressive twords people and then the host kills it and eats the person. The urchin will also fuse the host's head to the urcin so the host sees ehat the human sees. When this is done the urchin lets the host do what they want after the headcrab has made the host want to kill and eat other people. The child host can also exclusiveley have spikes on it's body to kill the host easier.
