Description
It will most probably never happen, but heres a Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor decked out in VF-103 Jolly Rogers livery.I had always thought that the livery would only look good on the F-14 Tomcat but the truth, any fighter plane with a Jolly Rogers on it IS BADASS.

Thanks but i am not serving in the Navy, or else i wouldn't be drawing this much. I have done my mandatory 2 years and they were in the army. I just love the Jolly Rogers livery, thats all!

The CO's bird would be painted like this. Though, VF-103 was deactivated, another squadron kept the traditional Skull and Crossbones in place of their emblem.
And most of the times, the bird would have 00 in the number, like this one would be 100, but seeing how it's Air Force, and I have no idea how they do things. I was raised Navy, and that's all I really know.
Otherwise, excellent job at bringing a Naval squadron onto a Air Force fighter.
I wonder what a F-35C would look like with this paint scheme.

Haha, thanks! The Tomcat will always be the best candidate for this livery as it has always been the poster plane of many in this livery.

nice, there are a few things that I am a bit nitpicky about though, so please take it as constructive criticism..
-The squadron insignia goes on the outboard side of the vertical stabilizer, the inside is usually blank or has the two-letter tailcode.
-The star&bar roundel on the wingtips are upside down, the top point of the star should be facing forward with respect to the aircraft.
-The numbers on the wings should be moved backward onto the flaps proper.
-The vagabonds stripe on the forward fuselage should run down the entire
side of the forward fuselage.
-This one's just personal taste, but the skull & crossbones on the wingtips seem a bit gratuitous, IMO... even in the realm of gaudy hi-viz birds.
oh and technical details:
-The nose probe on the F-22 was only for the two pre-production birds and is nonexistant on production jets, plus it hurts its low RCS.
- The low-voltage formation lights actually go on the bottom half of the forward fuselage, just a little below the crease.

Haha, i am fine with criticism as i need to know how i can improve.
Anyway, i have done the following -
- Fixed the roundels
- Moved the numbers to the flaps
- Vagabonds stripe now runs down the entire side of the fuselage
- Removed the nose probe of the YF-22
- Fixed the formation lights
But i have kept the squadron insignia and the additional jolly rogers as i think it makes the plane stand out more as compared to a more realistic .

just so you know, Navy and Marine Corps Aviation squadrons are never referred to as Ordered numerals...
hence VF-103 is not "the 103rd Fighter Squadron", but rather "Fighter Squadron One Zero Three"

Well, I was referring to the Jolly Rogers as an Air Force squadron since it is an Air Force plane.
