Description
This module is an expansion on the "Sitting Room" available to Type 1 users and is split into three main areas: Lounge, Sickbay, Small Laboratories. The curved walls in the Lounge and Sickbay were retained to give a sense of openness. The Lounge in this case is in the top left section. It is comprised of a small service bar against the central middle wall, then two rows of 4-person tables adjacent to the Self-Replenishing Buffet Service in the apposing corners. Two of the tables have been replaced with a sofa and two arm chairs facing a fireplace with a massive mantle - over it can be found the Seal of Rassilon. Bookcases flank each side of the fireplace.
Sickbay occupies the top right section and acts as a primary triage center for the treatment of minor injuries and to prep patients requiring more advanced proceedures. Against the central inner wall is the Consulting Office - the inner wall lined with cabinets, while a desk faces two visitor chairs. Glass pocket doors slide open to give access to this room while a glass facing wall allows the doctor on duty to observe a large swath of the room.
Flanking the center Consulting Office are two diagnostic/surgical beds. Against the outer wall of the room are eight monitoring beds, four pairs of two. In the corners on either side is a nurse's station with a cabinet of supplies.
The bottom middle area is the Small Laboratories section and is divided further into seven smaller compartments.
Central Monitoring station occupies the central inner wall position with six workstations. Pocket doors allow for easy access to the station.
Against the outer wall, from right to left is: Powder room (two stalls, sinks, towel racks); Lab 1: Chemistry (central lab table, wall cabinets for supplies and reference materials, sink and hazardous waste can); Lab 2: Biological (contains two lab hood units with stools, sink, hazardous waste can, and wrap-around work bench); Lab 3: General (workbench wraps against the back of the room, two facing bookcases for supplies and reference materials, two hazardous waste cans); Lab 4:Quarantine (airlock, two monitoring beds, cabinet, sink, and hazardous waste can); and the other Powder Room (two stalls, sinks, towel racks).
Dedicated facilities can be created as needed.
