Description
The background for this picture is a digital photograph titled "School's Out," which can be found in the Photo section of my site. The foreground elements include a 3D model that was posed using the desk for both scale and perspective. The model was then imported into Adobe Photoshop and placed into the scene. The glow from the apparition reflects off of the chair and ground, helping blend it into the scene. Portions of the chair and background that are located behind the apparition are also distorted (refracted) to create a feeling of both depth and volume. The 3D model was setup in about 2 hours, and the final Photoshop steps took about 2 hours as well.
