There were plans to make a "real" animated version, where the eyes truly moved a great deal. (As well as mouse interaction) But I never got around to creating one. Because I used flash as the animation platform, I was not able to do every frame as a graphic... The final size would have been too large. And because each eye's position is composed of multiple photo elements depending on position (light, shadow, etc) I was not able to simply have a eye graphic motion tweening around behind a masked foreground. I would have to add all the reflection and shadow layers within flash, and I did not have the time. (Also, that would really crunch down on the CPU, flash can get a bet clunky when rendering a lot of layers) Other concepts like [link] were also played with. Hopefully I'll get a chance to go back and redo it all. The more I look at the final image, the more parts I see that I would like to go back and clean up. It was never truly finished to a production version.

wow thats really well done, very creapy but the whole piece flows together really well. was a little bummed with the animated version, i thought the eyes would move more then just cross fade around.
