DOWNLOAD FOR HUGE.So I've been picking away at this for... feh... months. I've had the concept in my head since I came up with Zeek, but I didn't start doing anything with it until a few people started asking on FA.

Here are a few that I'm aware of. c:
They don't really "evolve" per say, but they shapeshift, so you could draw them in a different shape. There's a general explanation of the limitations of that ability in the species reference.
I'm working on some different types of Neph, I just haven't had time to make reference sheets for them. I do have the Acid Neph completed and posted up on FA. The link is here: [link]

Oooh, these are awesome! I'd love to have a go at making either a semi-aquatic or subterranean one but unfortunately, I'm not much good at coaxing ideas out of their holes, they just kind of stroll out in dribs and drabs, usually weeks or months apart!

Random quick question: Are the subterranean subspecies capable of bio-luminescence?

They are all bio-luminescent, actually. It helps them to attract prey, and also allows them to camouflage in the patches of bacterial fungi that grow in the caves that they inhabit.
