Regen and I walked down the endless bridge. "Ellery, Regen is afraid that bad people will catch her again" Regen told me. "Don't worry, I won't let it happen" I said back. I've decided, I will protect Regen no matter what, I'm not going to let them have her. Regen will be my little sister. It is now my job to protect her.
Then night fell, I felt bad I never could get home in time. "Regen is sleepy" Regen said. "Alright, lets find somewhere to sleep" I replied. We found an abandoned car again, I turned on the heat for the half asleep Regen. Then I put my coat over her so she'd have something like a blanket. After that, I decided, hey will get across the bridge faster if I drive. So I drove off to find the end of this bridge.
I think I got pretty far, but I'm not for sure. After a while I stopped the car and went to sleep. I curled up to Regen and dozed off. I can't wait to see the types of trouble I'm in. I mean, those people are defiantly going after Regen. So I'll protect her from danger.
I woke up first and started driving, I'm hungry, but I should save my sandwich for later. Then something hit the car. I stopped the car quickly to see where the thing I hit had fallen. Looking around, I realized that Regen was gone. I sprang out of the car, looking for her. "Ellery, HELP!" I heard the shout. Knowing it was Regen I ran after it. Then, I saw who had her, or at least the back, he wore a long scarf, and had dark green hair. I ran after him, though I didn't think he saw me, because he didn't run faster. I jumped up and kick him in the side of the head, making him fall over and drop Regen. "I got you" I said as I caught her. "Thank Ellery" Regen replied.
"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT FOR!!!!" yelled the boy who now looked close to my age. "I just wanted to save my friend" I told him. "WELL YOU, I, I… can actually understand that." he calmed down. "Why are you trying to take Regen" I asked. "Some guy asked me to find the person in this picture, and well, she looked like her" He replied. "Why did you do it" I asked. "I live all alone and I needed money, he offered me money so I agreed" He said.
"You can join us, you know" I said. "I try to take your friend and you offer me to join you, why" He asked. "Everyone deserves a second chance" I know he did something bad, but I'll give him a chance. "Regen thinks we should go" Regen added. "So you in, or not" I asked him. "Why not" He replied with a smile.
